The Wonderful 101, an amazing game I’ve been putting off playing for some reason. When I first started playing it when I got it I didn’t get too far in cause I didn’t understand the controls very well. And I picked it back up and actually learned how to play and enjoyed it so much. I really suck at character action games, but I really enjoy playing them especially Platinum Games character action games. Speaking of Platinum, they put their name and logo into the game so many times and made it into important story plot elements by the end of the game. And I loved every time they did it. I loved all of the Wonderful Ones and how different they all were, though I wish there were more moments with Wonder Yellow, White and Black. The truth about the invasion was such a surprise I loved it cause I never would have expected it. I was getting so hyped up at the end that I would put on my Wonder Mask while playing the game so I could feel cooler, while saying “Roger!” with the rest of the characters in the game. Next time I play it I’ll aim to getting all the Wonderful Ones, until then this is a fantastic game for anyone who likes character action games and owns a Wii U. I highly recommend it.
I finally put up my big Bravely Default poster that I got from GameStop Powerup Rewards. I’ve had it for awhile now, but I’ve been hesitate to put it up since I was putting the frame up on an angled wall. It matches well with my advertisement for the game I got from my friend at GameStop. And also goes well with my collector’s edition box with all the nice things in it. I can’t wait for Bravely Second to come out.
So I figured out what I want to do with The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap Keychains box that I got from GameStop. I’ve decided to use it to hold all my video game soundtrack CDs I’ve gotten over time. Granted it’s not a lot, but it’s still something and it’s a nice little way to recycle the box. Luckily I can add another CD to the collection when both Super Smash Bros. games come out since you can register them both on Club Nintendo and get a soundtrack of the game.
Came across this in a Hobby Lobby yesterday when I was about to check out and thought the idea of a Wiimote shooting candy was cute. I like collecting little video game themed candy cases.
I came across my old PokéRom CDs I got when I was a kid. I don’t even remember what’s on them, but I remember they were short. Which is to be expected since you can see how small the CDs are here. You can also print out the coloring pages of these Pokémon, which I happened to find two uncolored pages while I was cleaning out my closet. They certainly made so many different Pokémon things.
Mighty Gunvolt, a fun little game that comes free with the purchase of Azure Striker Gunvolt from the 3DS eShop. I say free, but it’s only for a limited time from August 29 through November 28. I actually haven’t gotten to play Azure Striker Gunvolt yet since my 3D adjuster is a bit broken so I need to get it fixed. Though this game was a nice little bonus with a game that also looks awesome. As you can tell by the pictures you can play as three different characters: Gunvolt from Azure Striker Gunvolt, Ekoro from Gal☆Gun, and Beck from Mighty No. 9. Once you start a file you can pick one of the characters and play through the whole game with them, so no switching out. However the game is five stages long so it’s understandable. Each character plays a bit differently, I had a little bit of trouble using Beck in the School level. Ekoro was the easiest to use in my opinion since you can use one enemy as another shooter that automatically shoots and auto aims, but it dies in one hit so not much use on a boss. And Gunvolt seems to be the most powerful with his charge attack, I managed to time it right on the final boss. Anyway this is a fun little game to honor the old Mega Man series while putting a little twist on it. If I had to change one thing about it I would want to make it longer, but it’s still a fun game.
So GameStop has started selling these The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap keychains. I when I went there I picked up the last three they had and asked if I could take the box and they let me since they didn’t need it anymore. No idea what I’m going to use it for though yet. The three I got was Link with the Sword, Zelda and the Picori. Then I took my friend to another GameStop the next day so he could pick up a game he wanted and I bought three more. And I got one Mole Mitts Link and two Links with a Gust Jar, I plan on giving the extra to a certain someone. I’m really hoping to get that Vaati.
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Hero Quest (Second Quest/Hero Mode). After my last play through, I went and completed this game yet again on it’s Second Quest that you unlock by beating the game once, and played through the whole game on Hero Mode. I’d say this game on Hero Mode was most concerning during the first dungeon, since you have only three hearts and no way to recover, unless you bribe some rats and get a potion from them. After awhile the game was a lot more manageable with being able to stay alive, I just got hit way harder, especially by some surprise hits that hit way harder than I thought they would. One thing that I found that was a pleasant surprise was that the Nintendo Gallery carries over into Second Quest, so I didn’t have to do all of that again, I don’t remember it doing that in the original though. Still that was a great touch and I didn’t have to do all that all over again. Beating it is leaving me a little sad, cause it’s one of my favorite games and beating it leaves me a little empty. However, I am now moving onto the next Zelda game to conquer, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
So there’s a Pokemon event at GameStop where they give you a card with a serial number on it to put into your game. The code will give you a Heracronite if you have Pokemon X, and Pinsirite if you have Pokemon Y. This goes along with the event where you go on Mystery Gift to get Heracross for Pokemon X and Pinsir for Pokemon Y. I actually didn’t need these, but it’s nice to get stuff like this during events.
I got the Mega Lucario Bandai model in the model now, and I remember how much I hate putting stickers on models again. Putting the stickers on this one was even more of a pain than putting the stickers on my Xerneas and Yveltal models put together. I’m not satisfied with how well I put the stickers on it, though it’s still pretty cool, though ironically not as cool as it’s non-mega form of it in this case. Luckily I still love Lucario enough to get over it and enjoy having it.
